yep here you go~

Buckeyes..
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
4 cups powdered sugar
3 cups rice krispy cereal
4 cups choco. chips

1. in a small bowl, melt butter, and peanut butter together. stir constantly so it doesnt burn, on low heat.
2. in separate bowl, mix sugar and cereal
3. slowly pour peanut butter and butter mixture over dry cereal. MIX WELL
4. form into balls, place on cookie trays
5. refrigerate til hard
6. melt choco chips, double boiler on the stove. I just put a small pyrex bowl over a saucepan with a little water for steam. acts as a double boiler for chocolate melting.
7. dip balls into choco and cover. return to cookie tray and return to refrig. to let cool

Re: Holiday Baking Recipes..Post your recipes!!

My banana nut bread--
pre-heat oven to 350

3 cups all purpous flour
2 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1-2 cups of either walnuts or pecans
3-beaten eggs
1 1/2 cups oil
3-lg bananas (or four small ones)
One 15oz can of heavy syrup crushed pineapples

Mix all dry ingredents (I sift them)

ETA: Drain the pinapples. Don't use the juice.

Add eggs, vanilla, nuts, pineapple, bananas and oil.

Mix well
then poor into bread pans. Makes two lg pans or three-four small.
bake at 350 for about 1 hour. The pineapple will make the loafs darken. You can not tell if they are done by looking at them. You have to use a tooth pick to check. If you are using smaller loaf pans then cook time will be less.

I promise this will be the best banana but bread you have ever eatin, well given that you fallow the exact recipe

Re: Holiday Baking Recipes..Post your recipes!!

Oh man.....I do cookie baking every year.
I've been trying to invite friends to it each year although I've been told I'm a nazi in the kitchen lol so I might as well do them myself - but no it is fun to have people helping and drinking and whatever. Preggo this time though so I can't drink....

ANyway.....

I usually make:

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Drop Cookies
Snowflakes (cream cheese press cookies mmmmm)
Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

and whatever else sounds good...DH loves regular old chocolate chip cookies and I need to get the recipe for these yummy minty cookies my mom has made before that you can use dye and shape into the shape of cnady canes or whatever....

Let me know if anyone wants any of these recipes and I'll go get them.
