Let's be honest, how much have you spent on...

Your CD stash and accesories!? I'm starting to track what I've spent and I'm already at $400 and still have plenty purchases to add

I only have one 6 month old and I try to justify my expenses by saying it will be practically FREE to diaper the next bum

Also, when did you break even cloth diapering vs disposables?!

I have spent over $800 but wish I didn't I find it is so simple to use covers and flats with thin hemp insets better for baby instead of all the expensive pocket and aio I have. I could have cloth diapered for less then $200. My real saving are using the cloth. Wipes that alone is worth it

Ill break even in about 2-3 more months (so baby will be 3-4mo) ive spent less than $200 tho lol. Even if i buy 12 more large flats it will still only take about a month to get my moneys worth

$857.60
I have spent WAY more than I was hoping to spend, but not a ridiculous amount. I have only bought 2 diapers at full price, everything else I have gotten on a good sale/used so I have a MASSIVE stash of 90% made in North America diapers. That price also includes all my wipes, wet bags, diaper pail, sprayer, and wipe warmer.

Re: Let's be honest, how much have you spent on...

I am new to cloth diapering and am still in the process of making purchases. All I have bought so far are 12 prefolds and 2 covers which was about $70 if I remember right... maybe it was $50 or $60, I can't remember. But I have just discovered the world of pockets and AIOs which I love so I am going to be spending a loooot more!

One thing I CAN tell you is that, after 3 years of diapering with disposables, 6 months of which were diapering 2 kids at once, I have spent well over $2000 on disposables. We are planning on having more kids so I am glad to be making the switch to cloth NOW! o.O

For my first, probably around $300. My second, I'm under $100 and I wash every 3 days. We use FST flats and covers.

I never really sat down and tried to figure out the numbers but it's a lot more than I needed it to be.

I tried way to many things before discovering that I am a simple prefolds lover.

Re: Let's be honest, how much have you spent on...

True out of pocket has only been about $100 so far. But if I include what I bought with gift cards, then closer to $300, and I got some covers as gifts too. I'm hoping that I only need to spend another $100 or so for the next size up of prefolds, and then I should have a complete stash that I can use for another baby.

And I bought everything new before I found the FSOTs. I've been keeping an eye out for the next size I need, hoping to find them cheaper here before I have to buy them. Save a little cash.

But I figure I would have spent at least $500 on diapers already if I was using sposies, so I'm happy.
