Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

I think I qualify. Charles Henry is 38 months and still nurses 3-5 times a day. Tom is 13 months and nurses off and on day and night. I feel like a total and complete cow these days.

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

I'm not sure what technically counts as "extended" breastfeeding, but I guess we qualify now. My son is 12 1/2 months old. I'm so happy to have made it to the one-year milestone!!!

My current nursling is only 2.5 months, but I plan to go for longer than a year. I went 13 months with each of my older daughters but weaned b/c I got pregnant and couldn't deal with the pain. I am trying not to get pg this time so we can go a year and a half, at least!!

I guess I'm at the early mark of "extended", perhaps it doesn't count yet...We are nearing 11 months...but I plan to continue for as long as she wants to nurse....

I've already gotten the horrified "she's still nursing?" questions and stares...It's very, very sad that something so wonderful for your child is looked upon in such a negative light by so many ignorant people...

Well, I dunno if I qualify yet, LOL. Kolten just turned 11 months and we're still going strong...I am SO excited thinking about making it to 1 yr!!! My first born didn't nurse so this is a true accomplishment for me (us!)

Me too! Evan is 16.5M now...still nurses 4-6 times a day (including some snacking at night I am trying to cut out...we co sleep too but I am still tired, ha!).

I nursed my DD til almost 18M...would like to nurse Evan til at least 2...maybe longer...see how it goes and what he wants etc.

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

My Zander is 23 mos next Sunday, & nursing strong!!

His day nursing really varies, from many times a day to just a few, depending on how busy he is...

& he still loves to nurse a few times a night...

I wonder who still nurses thier toddler in public? I'm gonna add a new thread, so we can still here from those that have already posted here!!

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

this one is only 15 months, but still gets nearly everything from me. He has about 2oz of water a day and a tablespoon or 2 of solids 3x/week. So I'm sure he's in this for a while yet!
my other kids weaned at 10.5 months, 37months, 25 months
