Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

Going to be 24 months here in a week!

*gasp!* I can't believe she'll be 2! She's still my baby!

And to answer the question about nursing in public...even though this isn't the thread for it...Yes! We still do if she really needs me and we have been out of the house for a looooong time!
But a quick trip to the store where she gets bored and starts lifting up my shirt wanting to nurse.....no. LOL!

Currently, my 11 month old is attached to the breast. DS1 nursed until 22 months.

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

DD2 nursed till 23 months. I had a miscarriage right before then and when I started my cycles again after the D&C, I couldn't nurse through the physical pain (my nipples hurt like you know what!!!!). So I weaned her against what she wanted and I didn't really want to either. (my MIL sure danced a jig though! She thought I should have stopped at 6 months!).

DD3 will be one year in two weeks and she still nurses at least once at night and at least three times a day. So we'll see how long she lasts. I think she'll be an early self-weaner (that just sounds so funny!)

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....

My son is 16 months old and nurses about twice a day, I'm also 6 months pregnant, so we cut down alot because of the pain! I wouldn't doubt if he picks up a few more times a day when the baby comes.
