S/O of turning todd thread .. if i get a cosco scenera ..

I know their are other seats that will last me longer but I can use this for DS #1 for now and when he outgrows it , use it for DS #2 so I am considering this one since it fits in our budget So what is the height limit on these for RF does anyone know ?

There isn't necessarily a height limit for RF, since the slots have to be at or below the shoulders, if the child is taller, the slots end up lower than the shoulders which is fine. They are good to RF to 35 lbs and I haven't heard of any children outgrowing them by height before weight RF. The top harness slots are 14.5 inches, which isn't very high, so FF'ing they can be outgrown by height before weight (they go to 40 lbs).

Honestly, it depends on the child. They put a height limit on the seat because federal regulations say they have to, but it isn't set in stone. They can rf until they have one inch of shell left above their head. That comes sooner for children with longer torso's. A 4 year old with a short torso could rf in a seat that possibly a 3 year old with a long torso would have outgrown rf'ing. Since you have more than one lo who would get to use this seat I would still say it would be worth it though.

I would ask at www.car-seat.org. I think the guideline is an inch of shell above their head.

The specs for the seats say 19-43" - however like mentioned above, it's just a guideline. A child could outgrow the seat at 36" if they are heavier.

Some seats allow the child's head to be even with the top of the shell, others say 1" from the top of the shell. It's best to check with the manual for the seat to know exactly.
