My 22 month DS still does this. I cannot remember when he started. Though, he gets into pinching while doing it sometimes so I have to stop that right away when it happens.

My DS just started sort of doing that. Actually, what he does is put his hand at the top like he's going to pat it, then pulls his hand down, digging his nails in on the way. I quickly cut his fingernails.

DS did that. It serves to stimulate multiple milk ducts, and increases milk flow. Many people do this while pumping to increase milk flow, and it can help alleviate pressure when overfilled!!! HTH!

My ds has been doing the same thing for months now. He's 13 months and I think he's been doing it since he was about 5 or 6 months. I have no idea why he does it though!
