What a beautiful picture!! Your story sounds so much like mine. I wanted so badly to nurse Brayden, but when the PPD started only days postpartum it was terrible. I couldn't stand the fact that I was the only one who could handle it when he was hungry. I felt so trapped. When I got pregnant with Emma I was determined that things would be different this time. And, thank God, they are. She's a great nurser!! And I love that super sweet look on her face while she's nursing!! AND, she was born the day after your LO!!

WTG!!!

I had similar problems. DD1 wouldn't latch on, so I had to pump and give it to her in bottle. DD2 on the other hand is a PRO at breast feeding. I almost gave up as well. "They" say that breast feeding shouldn't be painful, but what "they" don't tell you is that, in the beginning it is. That's great that you were able to stick it out!!

That is such a beautiful picture, mama, thank you for sharing! And WTG for sticking it out. I think BFing is one of the hardest things that I have had to learn how to do ( and it should be so natural from the start) but the rewards of it, for mother and child, are so amazing! Gabe turns 1 in two weeks and it is so hard for me to realize that we have almost made it a year. Keep going mama, it only gets better!
