Questions about Pre-folds

I just got some prefolds from the co-op on Diaper Pin, and I had some questions. FYI--I also posted this question on Diaper Pin.

I got Bleached Indians and they look just like my bleached chinese I got from somewhere else. Does that seem right to you?

I got unbleached Chinese and they look and feel like burlap. Is that what they're supposed to look like? I've never gotten unbleached before, and I know that it takes a bunch of washes for them to fluff up. I read something about boiling them. What would you suggest?

Boil for 15-20 minutes or add some boiling water to your washer. I find ub needs boiled or a good 6-8 washings before they're really fluffed.

Indian and Chinese feel the same to me until they've been washed several times. Indians don't pill like Chinese and they get and stay softer. My Indians are also a slightly different size from the Chinese after washing.

Thanks for your response! I washed them 3x so far, and they are much softer now than the cardboard they were before. Gonna wash some more today when I get home from work. Thanks again!!!
