Which pump did you like the best?

I had a medela pump-n-style for DD1 and wasn't too excited about it. I saw a new one Isis Iq duo that looked great, but wonder if anyone has tried it?
TIA
Sarah

I have a PISA which works but I don't love it or anything. I have only heard bad things from the women on other boards about the IQ, though.

I used the Medela Pump in Style and PIS Advanced. I liked the Advanced a lot better. It was the backpack style.

I had a Medela PIS, but wasn't real fond of it with dc ds#2 so when I was pregnant with DS#3 I looked into getting a new pump and I decided on the Playtex Embrace (came out last October or November I think). This is a hospital grade and you can resell it (which PIS you are not supposed to). I really like this pump and feel it is by far the best pump I have used! My LC recommended it.

Re: Which pump did you like the best?

I have the Medela PIS and I've really loved it. Of course, I started out with a Gerber manual, so ANYTHING is better than that! It's been a Godsend, though, since I'm pumping every day at work.

I've heard really good things about the Ameda Truely Yours too, just haven't tried it. That was actually the one I was going to purchase, but a friend's son weaned right about that time and she was so sweet to loan me her PIS. It's a hearty thing too - my son is the 6th baby this PIS has pumped for, and still going strong!

Thumbs up Re: Which pump did you like the best?

I have the Avent Isis IQ Duo & IT IS AWESOME! I definately think it is worth the money! I just started staying at home with my little one but when I was working I used mine for 4 months (3 times a day) and was getting more milk than we could store! I never worried about supply issues with it. I have tried the Medela Hospital Grade Pumps and they aren't as comfortable as the IQ. It allows you to totally control your pumping. I give it 2 BIG thumbs up!

The only bad thing is now I hardly ever use it! LOL! Email me if you have any questions about it.

Also, this one can be used by someone else unlike a lot of the other types. The only parts that touch anything (you or your milk) can be sanitized!

Just my !

Re: Which pump did you like the best?

THIS IS ONLY MY EXPERIENCE (disclaimer...LOL)
I own the Medela PIS backpack style, new Advanced system but when I went back to work for a few weeks I used the lactation room's Ameda hospital grade pump (because EVERYONE was using the Medela HG pumproom) and LOVED the Ameda. I felt the sucking action was more realistic and each "suck" kind of ramped up, more naturally rather than the Medella on and off sucking. It stinks more people don't use the Ameda. Many of the gals who used that room with me for the same reason went out and bought Ameda's and got rid of their Medela's afterward. Only my lowly opinion though. I will probably buy a new Ameda for DC#2 if I have the $$ to do so. I never seemed to be able to relax and let down well to my Medela.

HTH...

I was pretty happy with my Medela PIS. I haven't tried any others.
