Difference between 1 mil PUL and 2 mil

hopefully this isn't a dumb question- but I'm just starting to buy PUL for some diapers I'm making, and I see it says 1 mil and 2 mil. Which should I get for some AIO's?

Re: Difference between 1 mil PUL and 2 mil

As far as water proofing to me they work the same. 1mil is more flexible and less stiff and some believe more breathable. 2mil is a stronger waterproof coating and will probaly last longer. however I perfer 1 mil and being a Very baby WAHM most of the Very Baby WAHM"S use 1 mil. Also 1 mil is cheaper. So it is a matter of choose as far as diapers are concerned. Probaly pockets are better made in 2 mil and AIO's work with both and if you are trying to roll the legs on the pul for AIO's I would recommend 1 MIL.. I find that works better when I sew VB Basic AIO's

you can use either
some ppl like 2 mil and say it lasts longer
others say it doesn't "give" enough and is too stiff
I use either and have no preference really
