Can someone please explain what an AI2 is?

Ok, so I guess it's like an all in one but the insert is the snap on kind? Or am I way off base? If you could name some brands that would help, too.

AI2s have snap-in or lay-in soakers. Some brands are Dreamboats, Lucys Hope Chest, TXBB (but she isn't around anymore), I dunno...we don't have AIO/AI2s that much.

Correct!
Instead of having a sewn in soaker like a regular AIO this is a snap in or lay in soaker - which is also quick drying!

Then how are they different from AIO's? Just thinner, so you *have* to put in a doubler?

they have a cover (also called a shell) and instead of the soaker being sew in, you can lay or snap it in. It makes they dry fast like pockets but you can reuse the shell simply by changing the soaker so long as the shell isnt soiled. some other brands are Daisy Doodles and Berryplush (my person fav dipe), you can also use some just as covers (until my extra berryplush soakers arrive I use the shell over PFs).

They are different because in an AIO its SEWN IN like you cant remove the soaker an AI2 you CAN remove the soaker because its either SNAP In or LAY in. No, its not thinner and no you dont need to use a doubler.

Charis at BeccaBottoms
Daisy Doodles
Berry Plush
and my newest order... VB Hybrid (with snap in tri-fold soaker)

I think they are great. DH loves them and I do too b/c of the quick dry time! HTH!

Cool, so that seems to solve one of themain complaints people have about AIOs - drying time. That's what I was thinking.
