So, no one said a negative thing to me about "STILL" breastfeeding Sarah!
When she was tiny FIL was always saying "Well I got teeth at 4 months and that'll be the end of breastfeeding when she gets those teeth' etc. etc.
But no one said anything mean! We were opening presents Christmas day and Sarah wanted to nurse and I just asked if it would bother them and they all said no so I sat there and nursed her without running downstairs to hide!
And then we were at the extended family celebration Christmas evening and I sat on the stairs nursing Sarah and several of his relatives stopped and chatted with me. His aunt even asked if I needed some water!
YAY!

I was wearing her in the moby too and everyone thought that was beyond awesome b/c she was able to snuggle in and be comforted but still see the going ons.
It was a good time.

That is too cool! DH's nana is pretty cool about the whole extended BFing thing too, she thinks it is so great that I am still nursing DD and says she wishes she would have nursed her babies longer. He also has a cousin whose wife is nursing a baby, but I think she thinks I am a little weird for still nursing DD. She was BFing her DD and Alice saw and asked me for boobie, we were the only 4 in the room so I told Alice ok and she looked at me like I was nuts

she didn't say anything though.

That is awesome!

My mom did ask if I was till nursing him. They live 1000 miles away, so it really shouldn't be concern for her. My mom didn't nurse any of us and it's really a new experience for her. I know she thought I would never be able to do it.

Here's my thing...it's FREE!!! Milk costs so much!!!! We're on WIC right now, but I'm not sure for long. I plan on holding off on the cow's milk.

My friend nursed her son until he was almost 3. She's been my biggest supportor.

Dh is fine with it. I read to him the info on Kelly Mom about extended bf.

Again.......so glad that things went well with family!!!!

Yay mama! Isn't it so nice when you don't have to defend your parenting choices and you can just relax! So happy for you.
