And to boot she's figuring out how to stand up on her own so she's waking something like 12 times, crying. No teeth yet so there might be teething in the mix, too. She's 9 months old today and she's also an addict.

Well mine's not quite 9 monhts yet but he's getting there. My DS is literally attached all night. If my nipple slips his mouth, he starts screaming immediately.

Her name is Izzy and she's 9 months old - and it's getting worse!

If she loses her nummies at night, it's like the world comes to an end.

No help here. Just and empathy since I'm in the same boat....

Hey, I also have a 9 month old night nursing addict! I don't know how often he nurses since I just sleep through it now, but it's at least every 2 hours. I switch him sides in my sleep too

My soon to be 29 mth old still wakes on average every 2-3 hrs at night to nurse and when she sleeps with me will stay attached and nurse all night.

I am so happy (yet sad , kwim) to know that I am not alone in my sleeplessness. My little guy rang in the new year with a bang. . .getting up constantly last night . DH has taken to sleeping downstairs recently, he needed some sleep ROTFLMAO!!!

Wishing you all luck with your nursey addicts!!!

Re: Night Nursing Addict

I was just discussing this with DH. Our son pretty much constantly wants to be at the breast at night. It's been the last week or so. I'm fine with it, I think it's a phase (also teething.) and what he needs right now. My older son night nursed for quite awhile. I believe he stopped between 18 months and 2 (He'd wake up about 1-2 X a night to nurse.) He stopped on his own. I worried about it, but ds1 got through it on his own. Now with DS2, I'm just going with the flow. It's kinda nice snuggling up and nursing through the night, I'll miss it someday. (Granted, if you have a hard time sleeping while nursing, that would be tough!! )
