She slept through the night!!!!
I should be hooting and hollering at this, but I'm not! LOL I woke up about 8 this morning, and DD was stilll asleep. I had to wake her up because I was so engorged! She nursed and went right back to sleep! LOL
My question is, when your LO's start sleeping through the night, do you get up to pump? Or does your milk adjust?

Re: She slept through the night!!!!
Your milk supply will adjust. It may take a few days, but you will notice a difference. I started getting up when my ds used to get up to pump so I could make a bottle for him for the next night at bedtime. My supply would drop around bedtime so giving him a bottle of bm right before bed helped him out. I told some friends I was getting up even tho my ds wasn't and they thought I was crazy and should stop. I did, and ended up making bottles of formula instead. Shouldn't have listened.

Re: She slept through the night!!!!
My DS didnt sleep through the night until 18months and my DD still doesnt at 2yrs. Though they did a few times each.
Your DD may not start sleeping through the night all the time though. Your milk will adjust if she is starting to sleep through the night every night! I would pump a bit just to help with engorgement and not mess your supply up, not sure how old she is?

Re: She slept through the night!!!!
Griffin slept 6 hrs at 6 wks and 8 hrs by 8 weeks. Around 4 months he started waking up again but would latch, suck twice and fall back to sleep before my milk had even let down
Around 5 months when he woke up, I'd go to feed him and he actually got mad and cried as if to say "mom would ya quit shoving your boob in my face I'm trying to get back to sleep!" He sleeps in our room in his own bed so I would hear him as soon as he started wriggling and pick him up. So then I just started lying still listening to him and would wait for him to actually call out before I picked him up. Well one night as I was lying there waiting, I must have fallen back to sleep and so did he. When we woke up again at the usual morning time.

No advice but I'm

Re: She slept through the night!!!!
Keira is 3 months old today!!
I don't want to mess up my supply! So I guess I'll just have to get the pump out, just in case! |
