breastfeeding in public

i have two boppys one i keep in the car so if i can ill use that if we're not close to the car i take some blankets and bunch them up

I went into changing rooms until I felt comfortable NIP. Most stores I go to have them. Or I'd go to an empty isle to latch on, throw a blanket over, and go on my way. It will get easier

I wondered the same thing. my dd is almost 4 weeks and i always have to make sure im home before its time to nurse again because dd wont do any other latch but the football and its way to hard to do that with out a pillow and a place to sit. hopping it gets easier soon for both of us.

It really does get easier as the baby gets older. I wanted to try to NIP when Anna was 3 weeks and just couldn't seem to get it to work at the restaurant so I ended up going to the car. But now that she is 11 weeks we've NIP several times, especially during the holidays at relatives' homes. If I get my nipple anywhere near Anna's face she can latch herself on so I can have the blanket completely over us until she's on- then I adjust it so i can see her face without anyone seeing anything. Just keep trying but give it a few weeks. Just like with everything else about nursing- this gets easier too!!

When he was tiny, I had to find a chair with arms so that I could prop my arm up and nurse. Also, I found that putting my diaper bag under my arm to prop it helped alot.

This is what I did too, its actually what I still do (ds is 3m) when Im eating its so much easier IMO
