Just when I was thinking we were through with rash for a while... DS has this angry red rash. Possibly just something I ate, but it stinks because all my PFs are in the wash and I don't want to ruin my fitteds, so I've had him in sposies this morning with Desitin. I hate that stuff, but it's the only thing that seems to help when this happens. Every time I throw away a sposie now, I think, "well, another one for the landfill..."

I just had a thought about the rash... DH did most of the diaper changes last night because I was busy working outside, and he always picks BGs. Is it possible for him to develop a rash b/c of suedecloth after about 4 hours? Just wondering, I just made that connection because I don't use BGs much anymore since it seems like we end up with some sort of irritation/rash. It's not actually down in the buttcrack (TMI, sorry!), but more in a line at the cheeks, KWIM?

A reaction to the material in BGs is very possible. Maybe from your detergent, though. I would definitely send your diapers through an extra hot wash with no detergent to remove any residue. Breastmilk on the rash helps clear it up regardless of the cause . If sposies with desitin gives him relief, though, that is better than him being raw and in pain!
