Wet Bags... are they necessary?
Hi ladies! I'm new to CDing and am preparing to have my son in December and I was wondering if wet bags were necessary? If you put a few diapers in them while you're out and about does the wet bag still fit in your baby bag? Thanks, I'm still getting the hang of all of this.

The wet/dirty diapers you'll be putting in the wet bag would've been in your diaper bag anyway, so it takes up about the same amount of space.
I've heard of people just using plastic bags to put their diapers in, but I think you might have a problem with smell if you did that. I just have 1 wetbag that I paid like, $9 for. We use pockets when going out, so he doesn't get changed that often, anyway.

Re: Wet Bags... are they necessary?
I don't have one, and we've survived. I'd love to get one, but money is tight, and I'd rather buy diapers than accessories!!
For now I have a cheap iplay bag that works fine. But, if you are in pinch, you could easily use a plastic baggie, or something like that. I still don't have one for my diaper pail either, and that's been no biggie. I plan on getting one sometime, but the system we've got now is fine.

Re: Wet Bags... are they necessary?
We used to use old plastic grocery bags too. Now, we have a wet bag and I prefer it. It just makes things easier and it does help contain the smell.
