Re: A perfect moment...
Yep. My son is 16 months old and oftentimes a very restless nurser and I still feel that connection when he nurses.

Re: A perfect moment...
No doubt it's one of the most wonderful things of motherhood. I love when he's lying their nursing and just softly stroking my arm/breast/whatever and then stops to smile at me. Melts my heart!

Re: A perfect moment...
I can totally relate to everyone. It really is the most amazing thing. when my milk comes down my DS will start nursing with big gulps and his eyebrows raise and he gets this look on his face like "this is the best tasting stuff EVER". he hasnt started smiling at my yet while nursing. i hope he will interested in nursing for a long time to come. it is such a special time for me!

Re: A perfect moment...
ya'll are making me miss nursing so much.My favorite was when she'd pat me while she nursed. Like she was saying "there there mommy, it's okay I'll drink the milkies" She also hummed while nursing a lot. I also loved when she got older and started saying thank you after nursing.

Re: A perfect moment...
I had a whole lot of trouble breastfeeding, but kept at it because it was the most awesome feeling in the world (minus the searing physical pain
). The bonding experience that happens when breastfeeding is priceless. I really wish I would have had a better LC and I could have EBF, but I know better now and my next child WILL be.

Re: A perfect moment...
At 15mos now we are just nursing mostly at bedtime. That's our time together. He's at daycare all day and I'm at work and that's our snuggle time. I love that as soon as he gets out of the bath, he's wanting his "dinks." I love that when we finally get in the chair to nurse, he face plants on me and then looks up at me like he's in love and then his little eyes roll back in his head like it's the most wonderful, pleasurable thing ever. That "milk coma" is something only I can do. It makes me happy all over to see him so content and happy.

Re: A perfect moment...
Oh, yeah. I love it so much! I love when she wants to nurse and she sees my boobs then gets all happy and starts laughing before latching one. It's so cute.
