Diaper Sprayer...UGH!!!

There's got to be a better way!!

I try to use the flushable liners, but on occassion my baby does a poo and i've got to spray it.

Here's the problem...When I go to spray it, I try to place the prefold low enough so that it's not hitting the water but I can spray it. It ends up spraying the poo ALL OVER!! It's disgusting.

Any other ideas?

Re: Diaper Sprayer...UGH!!!

Are you spraying it directly at it, or at a parallel angle? Like spraying down it into the toliet? I've found that works best and to try to get as close as possible.

are you spraying at a downward angle? That makes a huge difference when i'm spraying.
i've read of others cutting a hole in the bottom of a bucket placing that in the toilet and spraying in the bucket so catch all the "spray off".

Ohhh..the bucket idea is a good one...I'm spraying down but it still gets all over.

I've got a small garbage can that I'm not using. I'm going to have dh cut a hole in the bottom.

Thanks ladies...I knew you'd all give me some great ideas.

I had to turn my sprayer WAY down...like almost off. I have a rule that throttle has to be set to 5:30. Otherwise I couldn't use it, it's just too high powered.

sorry might be TMI

I put the poppy part of the diaper submerged in the water and spray the part that is closest to me and then start to pull the diaper out as it is cleaned off? if that makes sense? I guess I don't understand why not put it in the water so it's as close to the water as possible?

I agree, don't be afraid to have the diaper partially submerged in the toilet. It keeps the spray water contained.
