Aub's, I'm in Lebanon! Housing in Corvallis is ridiculously expensive!!! I have a 5 year old son and an 8 month old daughter. When are you usually in town?

I have to have hubby to work at 5pm so we are there each day Wednesday- Sunday. We were going to be moving to Corvallis but once we got serious about moving the prices sky rocketed on us. I hear it's cause the college but it really sucks. We are looking at Lebanon cause it's close enough but it's a bit cheaper but so far I have yet to find anything that I really like. We have been looking in Albany but it's pretty ghetto so I am not sure

Oh and I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old.

New to DS - Mom to 1 (Timothy turns 13m today!) and wife (to one, too!)..
Moved to Portland 10+ years ago from out of state...

We own a condo in SE (122nd & Powell area) and DH works in Vancouver.

Here in portland and I'm still early in the game but learning as much as I can about different options. The more I learn the more I keep revising the plan! Lol! DH is going to kill me since I keep telling him new things and I'm still in the 1st trimester! Current game plan: newborn prefolds and thirsties duo size 1 covers for the newborn phase, fuzzibunz elite for the rest with a few BG 4.0 because I like some of their prints, a few OS contours with doublers because I found other cute OS covers that blueberry makes. I wish fuzzibunz would make fun prints. I'm buying a few of their diaper talk ones only because I saw a few sites selling them for $14.95, much cheaper than the regular ones. Since they're so new, haven't seen any on fsot yet. Lots of time to build the stash. My two good friends love using FB and their babies were very different in size and shape. One was given elites by FB when she returned the regular ones that were damaged and she's loving those. I'm trying to keep things simple (their other advice) for DH and other caretakers. Anyone know if after Christmas brings very good sales?

I'm Trenna, single Mama to Seth (19 Months old). Currently I have a teeny apartment in downtown Portland, by Union Station, but half the time we're in Iowa with my son's Dad (& stepmom ... very blended family!). Soon we'll all be in Beaverton, we hope.

I'm working on my second career ... Out of high school I went into the printing industry and then was a self-employed small business consultant. Now I'm back in school, preparing to become a naturopathic physician.

I'm converting to Judaism, I love to write and to walk in the Pearl District (Tanner Springs Park is Seth's favorite) ... not much else to say for "hobbies" since I've got a toddler and homework to do!

I'm attachment-parenting, co-sleeping, home-birthing, cloth-diapering, selectively crunchy, Pepsi-loving, Volvo-driving ... would love to connect with other mamas in the area for playdates.
