butterscotch cake...looking for this recipe
this morning at church there was this amazing butterscotch cake.
i didn't think to ask who made it. does anyone know the yummy recipe? it was so so moist and butterscotchy. the top had tons of butterscotch chips and had crushed pecans(could have been almonds) sprinkled on it. it was so good. please share if you have something similar or even better.

Re: butterscotch cake...looking for this recipe
This is DH's grandmama's Butterscotch pound cake recipe and it is oh so delicious. It is usually made it in a bunt pan.
1 bow yellow cake mix 1 small package instant butterscotch pudding mix 4 eggs ½ cup water ½ cup oil 8 oz sour cream ½ package butterscotch chips (melted in microwave or double broiler) 1. Mix cake mix and pudding mix. 2. Add eggs water and oil and mix until well blended. 3. Mix in sour cream and melted butterscotch chips. 4. Pour into greased and floured bunt pan. 5. Cook at 325°F for 45 minutes and then in 10 minute increments until firm to the touch. 6. Cool 5-10 minutes and then invert onto cooling rack. Butterscotch Glaze ½ package butterscotch chips 2-3 tbsp cream or milk powdered sugar Melt chips in cream/milk. Starting with ½ cup powdered sugar, sift in powdered sugar until desired thickness is reached. Ice the cake while the cake is warm.

Re: butterscotch cake...looking for this recipe
This is what I do:
1 box yellow cake mix 1 cup butterscotch pudding (like a Snack Pack, 4oz pudding cup) 2 eggs Mix together. Put in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar, then 6 ounce bag butterscotch morsels and 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. That is for more like a brownie... for more like a cake, use two pudding cups.
