baby jacob's 5 week appt

Hello today Jacob had his 5 week old appointment. He is now 10 lbs 4 oz. I couldn't believe it. He is doing great. The doctor asked how often he eats and I said it feels like I am nursing non stop. He called my little one a snacker, becuase he will eat for only 5-10 minutes on one side and then 1/2 hour later he wants to eat again. He siad to try and hold him off a bit longer so the next feeding he will eat for a longer time. I hate to hear him cry so I don't know if I can do that. He also has very sensative skin. His face breaks out in a rash when I bath him or when he cries. I was told to use Aquafore. Here is a pic from his appointment.

Re: baby jacob's 5 week appt

My son also had sensitive skin as a newborn. We had great success with using California Baby Shampoo & Bodywash, Super Sensitive. It seems pretty spendy at first, but we're still using the same bottle at 1yr old!! A little goes along way. Also, I found that I only needed to bath him every other day or so when he was younger. I just made sure his diaper area was really clean and spot cleaned the rest as needed. Too many baths tended to make his skin worse. Anyways, I hope this helps - enjoy your little guy
