Re: i FAILED!

I think if you fail the three hour you will have to see a nutritionalist go aon a special diet have blood tests more often and possibly take medication. You can google gestational diabetes and that should give you lots of information.

If you "fail" the three hour test you will more than likely be sent to a nutritionist to learn ways that you can control your glucose levels through diet. You will also have a plan for monitoring blood sugar levels to assess your progress.

Re: i FAILED!

Diet change and hopefully that will do it for you. I've had GD now three times and it isn't fun, but certainly you can work with it. They will send you to a dietician and he/she can give you all the info you will need. It is certainly easier now to do the diet than when I had it 7 years ago. Now there are all these low carb/high protein snacks that are easy to take on the go. If you eat healthy, it shouldn't be too big of a stretch for you. If I stayed on this diet all the time, I'd be thinner, but I love my pasta!

Sorry you failed, but in the grand scheme of things, this is not the worst thing that can happen during your pregnancy, that is the good news!

Re: i FAILED!

Oh, yeah, and you will have to test your blood sugar 5 times a day. Hopefully you will not have to take insulin. PM me if you want.
