need help tonight or am - how many lbs to feed...

OK, I am going grocery shopping tomorrow morning for my dd's birthday party. We are serving tacos as main dish along with rice, tostadas, a dip and salsa with chips. So I dont know how many pounds of ground turkey to buy for the tacos. I am expecting about 18 adults and 7 kids give or take a few (still waiting on a couple rsvp's) Anyone have an idea how many people 1 pound will feed? then I can do the math. Thanks for your help.

i'm gonna say that a lb would do 8 tacos, unless you want exploding tic tacos in which case a lb would make like 5.

i make tacos for dinner for 14 adults and 6 kids, but only like 3 of them eat.. when i do that i make 3 of the styrofoam trays.. i think they are each at least 1.5lbs

if you have a costco card, get the ground turkey from there - it comes in a four pack and should do the trick

and i dont know your recipie, but to stretch it, add diced tomatoes (i do canned because i am lazy), black beans and corn (one can of each and one package of corn per package of turkey)

you might have leftovers.. but they stay for awhile

When I make tacos for dinner, I make one pound of ground beef and I get about 8-9 tacos from it.

3 for DH
2 for me and Josh to share

and leftovers for lunch.
