That's funny my brother and his fmaily just moved to Cedar springs. Maybe I will try to meet up when we come back to visit.

So I know during summer and nice weather there are a million parks, but what do you do with your kids around GR when the weather is icky and you're just plain sick of being cooped up in the house?
I don't know how far you're willing to drive but Cedar Springs has a great program called Parents As Teachers and it's open to all Kent County residents. There are playgroups 3-4 times each week that are geared toward 1-5 year olds but your little guy would be welcome as well. They also do a babies only class (birth-1) once a month. The next one is this Tuesday. If you're interested in more details, feel free to PM me

That is ironic. There isn't any industry here and there's not much to do but you sure can get some good deals on real estate.

I'm in the Grand Rapids area too. I'm a SAHM to Kaden. He's almost two. We're expecting #2 in August. I'm up for a playgroup. This winter is already getting long and dreary. It would be nice to get out of the house

We are actually in Middleville, which is about 20 minutes south of GR... just a hop-skip- and jump away!

Forgot to mention: My name is McKenzie. I've been married to my husband for 3 years, but we've been together for 11 years. We have one son, Damian, who is 15 months old. We both work full time, but have opposite schedules so that our son only has to be in daycare one day/week. We've been CDing since Damian was 5 months and he is nearly weaned from nursing.
