Re: DFW mamas

Kelly's post got me thinking, I never told ya'll a little about me.

DH is a retired Marine (after 20 yrs of service), we met in 2001 at a wedding & married in 2003. TTC for 4 yrs. We did 6 rounds of IVF/FET (frozen embryo transfer) we got pregnant 3 times in the span of 1 yr. 1st pregnancy was triplets (we only transfered 2 embryos each time, so 2 of those babies were identical) sadly I lost them (one each sonogram) at 9, 10 & 11 wks, got pregnant & lost a singleton, then a 2 cycles later... it stuck & we got our twins! I quit my job as an assistant manager of a retail store. and I am trying to survive each day! This SAHM job is alot harder than I ever thought. I love my babies & they amaze me each day!

here are some pictures of my twins on their 1st birthday: http://smilestore.picturepeople.com/...aspx?e=5882654

That was very kind of you. Thank you.

Which group is your BFing group? I might be interested in joining that. I BFed Christian for 8 months, Noah for almost 2 years, and plan on BFing Levi as well. His due date is only 6 weeks away!!! Yay!

Anyway.. sorry to ramble, and thanks again.

God bless,
Michelle

Re: DFW mamas

I keep forgetting to check this thread! I introduced myself like 2 months ago, and don't think I've posted since.

Diedre, that is an amazing freezer stash! I need to keep some of mine, I keep donating so I don't have much of a stash at any given time. I only pump every few days, when I remember to and my pump parts are clean...

Michelle, did you ever decide on a hospital for backup? Not to deter you from MCA, but I had a HORRID experience there when I went for contraction monitoring at 23w3d. They told me that they would not give me anything to stop them, and if I went into labor at that point they would just consider it a miscarriage because it was not yet a "viable pregnancy". If I hadn't been so shocked I would have had some very choice words. Thankfully the contractions slowed and didn't put me into labor, but that was not a fun couple hours. And now that I know that 18% of babies survive at 23 weeks, and 50% at 24 weeks in a good NICU, I am irate at the complete lack of options presented by that nurse.
