Couscous?

How can I prepare the plain so it's tasty and yummy? We're having orange chicken tonight. It probably isn't the best side choice, but it sounded good.

Is it plain or flavored?

We LOVE the stuff-- we usually have the packets that come in different flavors... we always make ours with olive oil instead of water and it's delicious!

ETA-- LOL I just re-read and saw there was no need to ask my question, hehe. Since it's plain I'm not sure what I would do! I do like garlic salt on just about everything, though LOL!

I don't know, but maybe you could search Rachel Ray recipes for couscous. I've seen her cook w/ couscous before on TV, but I don't remember any specific recipes.

ha ha ha, that's me too. I'm trying to sharpen my skills. Yeah right, like that's going to happen?

I like to make it in chicken broth. I put about 2:1 ratio of chicken broth to couscous, cover it, put it in the microwave for 1 minute. Then, bring it out and let it sit for 5 minutes. Voila! DD (15 mos) LOVEs it!

Thanks!!! I made it with onion flakes and some italian seasoning...we'll see how it turns out. ha ha ha Next time I want to try making it with broth.

For orange chicken it might be yummy to do 3/4 broth and 1/4 orange juice for flavor.
