Need a good beans and rice recipe!

I'm CRAVING beans and rice with cornbread! LOL I don't have good recipe though.. I"ve searched the internet and nothing is sounding right to me.. I don't want a soup.. think cowboy food here.. a thick stew.. red beans.. black.. doesn't matter. any one have a good easy recipe.. crockpot recipe bonus!!!

Hillbilly housewife has a great recipe. She starts with bacon and it tastes awesome.

Another option is to soak the beans overnight and just throw them in your crockpot with fresh water and let them cook all day. I serve it with brown rice and cornbread. Yum!
