We were blessed with my little princess at 6:38a.m. one year ago today! I am so thankful everyday that God gave me such a gift~ A DAUGHTER. I look forward to sharing a life full of dresses and bows, woes and heartbreaks,proms and a wedding. I have three amazing sons, but there is something different about a daughter. I woke up at 6am this morning and as I was nursing Layla I wrote the poem below. I'd love to share it with you all.

One Year Ago You Came InTo My Life

You were a surprise. A blessing in disquise. All I had wanted for so long. A girl. A daughter all my own. Nine months of patience, nine months of waiting.
6:38 in the morning. Giving birth simply. In the living room. Contractions. Pain. Belly slung in the strong arms of daddy. Breathe. Push. Touch. Pain. Wet. Stretch. Birth. Amazing! I bring you to by naked breast. Sleep against my skin, nurse from my breast, wrap your wrinkled limbs in the heat of my body. A moment! I wish I could stop time for a moment and just gaze at your newborn beauty. God is so loving. I fed you from my breast and watched you grow on nur~nur milk alone. Rolling, crawling, walking, but all that comforts you is mommy's breast. Eyes rolling to the back of your head, limp body.Free. No worries. Sucking. Bonding. Playing. Sleep my little one. One year ago you came into my life. My daughter, My dream, My precious baby. My life!
