Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Oh my it really has been a long time since i checked this thread!!

I am definitely going to start a southernokc/moore/norman/whoever-wants-to-drive-down meeting i am just stumped about ideas on where is best to meet. Norman has a cool library but well unless its evening time the place runs rampant with kids and we would spend 95% of the time chasing our kids i think.... Hmmmm The weather should turn cooler here soon... is there a cool playground somewhere nearby? The coolest in Norman is definitely Reeves Park where the fair is every year..... Or maybe a midmorning splash pad day? I think it's still hot enough for that....

Okay i am off to brainstorm.....

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

I have been going to the Moore library for baby story time. Wednesdays from 10-10:20 or 10:30-11. We went to the 10 last week, but it was a little crowded, so we may go to the 10:30 tomorrow. If I feel up to it. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and now starting to feel it. Plus DH has worked all week & weekend, and having my 1st grader home for the two extra days has really had its toll on me!

For the NORTH mama's, we went to a play zone at the dynamo gymnastics place yesterday & it is pretty awesome. Kinda like McD's, but bigger & you can get in with your kiddos. It's much better than McD's for my 15 month old cause she can actually play in the stuff! So I'd be up to doing that sometime with the North mamas.

For people who have 2+ year olds, there's pump it up in Norman and Jump Zone in OKC. Both inflatable jumping places....

Where was that? On Hefner and Rockwell? I live a stone's throw away from there!

I would love to meet up!

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Mags462 I would love to meet up sometime. Not sure how many other mama's want to do it as well. We live in Norman and there are a ton of parks here. I think the mall play area is fun since it's always available no matter what the weather is like. All of the parks are lots of fun. The library would work as well. I say just give me a time and a place and we'll be there.

I do have to say come Sept. 16th we'll be out of commission for a couple of weeks since DS is having surgery but just let me know and i'll be there.

You are only 20min from me. I'm in Chelsea. There is another cd'ing mama in Sequoyah...we've already had one play date and plan to do it again.

Congrats. I've got 15mo old twins (foster babies we've had since 8mo). I haven't joined, since I don't know how long I'll be a mom of twins.

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Anyone heard of Unplugg It in Edmond? it's supposed to be really neat - full of arts and crafts and an indoor(I think) playground with all sorts of hands on things to do. We are going next week to check it out.
