Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

So it sounds like Saturday is best?

Let's plan for Saturday, October 4th at noon. I thought we could eat lunch together and then maybe check out Oklahoma Trails.

Here is a zoo map. I am thinking we could meet at the jungle gym. There is a fair amount of picnic tables, it is near the entrance, and there is a place for the older kids to play. To the mamas with zoo passes, if you know of a better place, don't hesitate to chime in! If it is cold, is there an indoor facility you could suggest?

Admission is as follows:
Adults (ages 12-64): $7
Kids (ages 3-11): $4
Seniors (ages 65 and older): $4
Children two and under: FREE
Parking is free
Same day re-entry allowed
The Zoo accepts major credit cards, traveler's checks and personal checks

Let me know if this will work for you!

I hate to jump in the middle of a conversation in here...but it's so nice to find somewhere other Oklahoma moms are active! I live in Jenks, just south of Tulsa for anyone around. Not expecting my first LO until December though

The Jungle Gym would be great. It is usually very full on weekends though. There is a back playground and a covered eating area not to far that is usually open if it is too full. I will have to see if the 4th is open for me. DH is supposed to have a meeting on that weekend that I may have to attend as well. I will pass the date on to the other moms as well though.

I will be in Dallas on the 4th. Bummer, it sounds like fun getting to know everyone.

I found PUL locally (Yukon) at Hancocks. You have to ask for Baby Dry and then they know what you are looking for. Thought you guys might like to know.

I'm in Broken Arrow, and just had my two little girls 6 days ago.

The 4th sounds good for us! We'd love to go and 7 dollars isn't a bad price at all.
I know this may sound crazy but does anyone know what kind of food they serve at the zoo? I'm assuming that's where we'll be eating lunch. We are vegetarian so i'm just wondering if we should bring our own lunch. Which isn't a big deal just like to know ahead of time so were not stuck eating just french fries lol. Thanks for all the zoo info btw.

I know they have a pretty good resturant near the aquatics area, but closer to the pettingzoo/prarie dog/birds zone. I can't remember exactly what is on the menu though. I'd say be safe and bring your lunch. LOL. The majority of Oklahoma resturants aren't exactly vegetarian friendly YK?
