Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Ok, someone needs to propose a day, time, & place for a playdate. I really can't propose one since well I don't live in OKC...Come on ladies lets make some decisions before I go batty!

Welcome, Robin! We are *just slightly* a chatty bunch!

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

My house, this friday, say 11ish? I have a patient in the am and then I can pick up the kiddos and be home by 1030ish.

If everyone is there until 3, will you watch my two while I get Kylie?

Oh and my house is still under some renovations, but it should be ok.

Whew! I am done with my prelim exam! Two down, two to go! Now I just get to wait three weeks to see if I passed. Friday sounds great! We will be there! I can't wait to see how your renovations are coming along...

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Friday sounds great I gotta make sure I still have the mapquest map to your house since I haven't been there in like....89283029 months or so...not even stretching the truth there...

Its Donuts with Dad day at Cy's school anyway and since he doesn't exactly HAVE a dad...it might be for the best My mom went for Muffins with Mom (I had to meet up with Shae's...whatever), but anyway - we miss you guys!!!
And umm...yeah we'll watch my future son in law and my cuddlebug while you get Kybug, be a bad mom like me and just keep her home!!! (lol so much easier with a pre-k kid!)

Ohhhh does Jack still have a walker? I want to try one out for Shaebutt. She hates her exersaucer and her jumperoo but I think she MIGHT like a walker since its mobile. I'll have to plop her in yours.

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

Glad you guys can come!

I have a walker, but it is an outside walker... so it isn't pretty. But, it should do the job.

So, I need some advice/comments. I saw a thread on FSOT that had a lot of cheap dipes that I use for Jack at daycare. Anywho, she had them listed for $40 ppd. Well, she didn't buy them new. She said she bought them locally from another mama. While they still look to be in VGUC, they have been through at least two owners. So I sent her a pm and offered $30 ppd. She read the pm within two minutes of when it was sent. She never responded. Think she was upset by my offer? Do you think I low balled her? Be honest, I can take it.

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

he wears kushies at daycare, right? I don't think you CAN low ball on kushies
how many were there? I mean, just in general - no you didn't low ball by offering $30 on something listed at $40, starting low is part of negotiating!!! If she doesn't want to compromise with a counter offer then she's missing out and she needs to learn how this is done!

(by the way, first night with the bs and acv instead of shampoo/conditioner - so far so good. I was TERRIFIED to run the wide tooth comb through my hair because it LOOKED like a tangled mess...but it went through without a single issue!!! also did the castor oil on the face...fan-freakin-tastic. If my hair looks like crap on Friday then forgive me!!)

Yep, kushies... they are not the greatest but they are cheap and they work. I send them to daycare because they are easy and I will not get upset if one of them ends up in the trash. Now, on the other hand, if one of my pws gets trashed, I would be livid.

I am interested to see how your hair looks on Friday.

Re: Oklahoma Mamas, check in here!!

I must finally see a kushie in person - I mean, after hearing so much bad about them, I gotta see it for myself! lol they can't possibly be as horrible as others say if you guys don't have problems with them!
And my hair should be in that nice greasy nasty phase they talk about on Friday lol
I'm not sure what makes me more of a hippie right now - washing my face with castor oil or washing my hair with bs and acv? Or hey, maybe the silicone cup up my hooha. That could be the hippie deal breaker. (a friend of mine called it "a cup of menstrual soup" and I promptly reminded her that she had housing grade insulation up her)
