Re: High Desert Mamas?

I wanted to come in here and say hello! I lived in Twentynine Palms for six years of my life (not on the military base) and still dream of those beautiful rocks in Joshua Tree National Monument. I now live in Oregon and sometimes the rain is just unbearable when I think of beautiful desert sunrises...anyway just reminiscing!

The desert sunrises can be very beautiful but I could do without the desert dirt I love Oregon. I always wanted to live there. Hubby and I lived in West Seattle. I didn't mind the rain but it does take some getting used to.

ohh and I have lived in oregon and washington. SS about the rain. It was a shock when I got here. My kids are in awe when they see grass on tv. that or trees. Sad, they miss it, but our allergies do not. Enjoy the grass and trees. I have rolling dirt and pokey things, wierd but we have 1 1/2 acres and managed to be the only house not to have a joshua tree? All the wild life here is beautiful. but it has been oddly not so hot yet. Nice for us preggo's.

I wish I could come meet you all! Gas prices are outrageous. I just can't afford to go anywhere. It cost me $76 to fill up my car.

Re: High Desert Mamas?

I feel you on the gas mama. MY dh has to drive all over the place for his job and he drives a diesel. He fills up at least 2 times a week and it is over 100.00 every time. IT'S KILLING ME!!!! I'm starting to get really nervous with the talk of gas going up to $6!!!!!!!!! How are we going to afford anything. Everything is going up in price because of this.
