broken styrofoam on britax?

I just took the cover off DD's Marathon to wash it and noticed the styrofoam is broken at the top left head wing (see pic). Is this something I should be worried about?

I would call britax customer service and ask them. I called them a few weeks ago because when I washed the cover some fabric was wearing off and they mailed me a new one two days later! They are the best!
Maybe they will send you some too...

I am already sending it back in because the recline bar doesn't lock, I guess I should just call back and add this to the check list. Thank goodness we have an extra seat to use in the meantime.

Re: broken styrofoam on britax?

just wondering what you mean when you say your recline bar doesn't lock? is it supposed to make a certain sound when it is in the locked position? I have a Boulevard, and when it reclines, I don't think it makes a sound like it's in a "locked" position

I don't remember if it makes a sound or not, but it doesn't stay put, it freely goes from the recline to upright position without pulling the handle.

Wait!!! They’ll replace the broken foam pieces??? And worn out frayed covers???

All 3 of our convertibles have broken foam and 2 have worn out frayed covers! It’s where the seat rests against the car seat.

Did you have to pay? How much $$$?
I need mine replaced! I just figured it would cost as much as a new seat!

Edited to add they’re cs line s closed for the day so I’ll have to call tomorrow.

My marathon is still under warranty so it didn't cost anything for the replacement foam.

How do they replace the foam? Our parkway booster foam headwing got cracked by the kidlets, and I need to do something about it...Isn't the foam glued on or something?
