Re: VBAC?
check with your dr and hospital, some won't do vbacs. also if you don't mind me asking why'd you have a c/s the first time? was it something that could be corrected this time?

Re: VBAC?
Hi there! We're doing a VBAC and are super excited about it. I just posted a thread about them not too long ago and got some great info. I'm not sure if this is how you post a thread, so I hope this works!
http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/...d.php?t=308764 Yay! It works! I hope you can find some good stuff in there, I'll be watching this thread too! Lots of people posted awsome books, websites, stories, you name it!

Re: VBAC?
I've had 2 c/s and am doing a HB this go round
My MW gave me some print outs of some studies that were very intersting. If you can find them: One is from the American Academy of Family Physicians and is called Trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC), formerly Trial of labor versus elective repeat cesarean section for the woman with previous cesarean section other is from ACOG practice bulletin and is the vaginal birth after previous cesarean delivery. (Number 54, July 2004) Good luck! |

Re: VBAC?
Good luck mama! The link from ICAN is what other people have given me too! I haven't checked it out yet.
I am on my 4th VBAC!! I would definitely make sure that your ob/midwife will absolutely do vbacs. I am absolutely shocked at the 'new trend' to not do them. I was told the next pregnancy after my c/section that I 'WAS" doing a VBAC. I am so glad the ob insisted! Please keep us posted!

Quote:
http://www.acog.org/acog_districts/dist9/pb054.pdf and http://www.aafp.org/online/etc/media...cacy_TOLAC.pdf Thanks for posting that info - I found it interesting that even acog's guidelines say there's no proof internal monitoring shows rupture any faster than simply monitoring the baby's heart. |
