I'm going to ruin this washer

I only have 9 diapers so I wash in loads of 4, I have more coming soon and then I'll be able to go longer between washes. I guess I'll just keep experimenting and see how little detergent I can use and still get them clean.

My regular load of laundry was big, I use 1/2 a scoop and everything came out smelling nice and fresh =)

If you are only washing 4 diapers, you definitely dont need 1/2 scoop. You have to adjust your detergent according to your wash load. The 1/2 is for a full load. Like i said, HE will use different amounts of water based on load size. My husband did this once and there were so many bubbles, he was washing 1 item. I hope you figure out how much you need. If you are only washing bumgenius pockets, you can always wash by hand, pockets aren't hard to get clean.
