36 weeks and VERY happy! :-D

I don't know what the rules are on the types of threads to start, but I'm just so RELIEVED right now.

Tuesday I had my final risk assesment (we're planning a home birth), and today the midwives all came over to see the house and make sure everything was ready. Plus my birthkit was here when I got home from work. PLUS.. I've been trying to find a kid to watch here at home after baby comes for some extra income and had just haphazardly placed a classified on craigslist.org last week, and tonight a lady had emailed me interested.

I'd been waiting for this week instead of my due date, b/c this week was the hurdle we had to pass before it'd be OK to have baby. Midwife says everything looks pretty advanced (like close to labor) for my gestation age, but we aren't getting our hopes up.

...just hadta rave...

Congrats! that's AWESOME! I am high risk and can never have a home birth, but I think it's awesome that you are!

What a relief!! Nice to know that everything is coming together as planned.

BTW I now watch 2 girls (plus their step sister on Fridays) and it was because of a craigslist posting. I met the mama and her kids and all went perfectly ~ it's now been 5 months. I met another mama on clubmom and have been watching her 3 boys for 2 1/2 years (one a weekend and once a week).

Thanks, guys...Here's hoping that birth story comes soon. ;-) 37 wk, 2 days and counting!

And thanks about the avatar..My mom set up a "studio" (translation: bedsheet in the corner of the living room) and took pics of my friend and I and our husbands. She did a great job.
