I think I might have PUPPPs :(

About a week ago I started itching, it wasn't bad but it was annoying. Fast forward and I am itching so much that I actually only average 3 hours of sleep a night because of it. My boobs are scratched raw and bleeding from the itching, my stomach, lower back, parts of my arms and legs My boobs and stomach are the worst and I just want to cry thinking about going to bed and being so tired but itching so bad that I can't sleep.

I have an appt with my OB tomorrow so I'm hoping she can give me something to help because I can't keep this up for the next 12 weeks.
I have been using Eucerin cream which helps a little for a while but not enough to get me through the night.

I was reading up on PUPPPs and even though I have all of the symptoms it says that it usually targets first time moms and moms of multiples. This is my 4th and I've never had this before!! So much for statistics

My sister got it with her 2nd kid and my best friend got it with her 3rd. So I wouldnt go on that it usually goes to mom of the first time or who are having more then 1. I did read that it has to start on the tummy, did yours start there. I am sorry hun I hope your OB can help you out!

Yup, it started on my tummy and moved to my boobs and now its on my back and arms and legs. I'm so freaking miserable and I cannot function on 3hrs of sleep a night. I'm wondering if I can take Benedryl which would help with the itching and maybe help me sleep.

Basically head to toe hives that don't go away until after the baby is born

Re: I think I might have PUPPPs :(

I had it when I was pregnant with my twins. The dermatologist took photos of me! She'd never seen it before. This was 18 years ago, the only thing they let me do was take Aveno baths...I scratched all the time (drove my husband crazy!)

I had it about 5 months...went away the moment the twins popped out!

Re: I think I might have PUPPPs :(

I didnt have it the first pregnancy but I got some horrible hives just on the belly area (the MW said that had it been all over the body she would've told me it was pupps but she'd never seen it localized in one area alone before). They didn't go completely away when the baby was born, I still have a couple of the hives that itch but not nearly like last time. I resorted to having alcohol in a spray bottle and spraying merciless over my belly in a constant basis. Nothing helped.
