Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

I just wanted to ask if there are any moms out there that had moderate/horrible morning sickness with one pregnancy, but not another?

Which one(s) did you have the MS with? (i.e. first, second, third, etc)

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

All three pregnancies:girls

first: no morning sickness that I can recall
second: moderate. If I ate a healthy snack it helped sometimes. Had it for 16wks
third (this one): Horrible! I lost 13lbs and didn't feel better until 16-18 weeks. Still feel sick to my stomach fairly often, but nothing as bad as those first 4 months.

Thank goodness I'm done because it seems that my m/s is getting progressively worse with each pregnancy!

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

Weird, I had three boys and the morning sickness was exactly the same. Lasted through the first trimester, only vomited once or twice but was constantly nauseated.

1st pg : all day sickness from 6 weeks until about 15 weeks.

2nd pg: all day sickness from 6 weeks until about 6 months

3rd...starting at about 6 weeks ...seems to be tapering off now (almost 12 weeks)

I was much sicker with #2, and that was a boy, so I think I'm having a girl this time

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

ME ME ME! I had nothing with my first. I was feeling great the whole pregnancy. With my 2nd which ended in miscarriage at 6 wks, I got sick to my tummy if I ate certain foods but never threw up. This one is my 3rd pregnancy and I had the worst morning sickness that it lasted ALL day and I couldnt get out of the house because it was so bad. The car made it worse too, I had it into the 2nd tri around 18 wks it finally slowed down. I still threw up here and there until 21 wks along.

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

My first baby I was feeling great. I remember thinking that most women complian to much because pregnancy is a breeze. I mean everything was perfect from start to finish.
Then I got pregnant with my second child. All those comments came back to bite me big time. It started about a week after getting that BFP. I vomitted from the moment I woke up untill I went to bed at night. Not just nausea. Things got better around 16 weeks when I had my appendix out. I went from puking 5 times a day to once. It lasted untill the very end.
Number three was a breeze as far as morning sickness went. I don't remember even feeling queesy. I had a couple other annoyances like swollen feet and siatica near the end though.
This time I'm not yet into my 8th week and all is good. Last week I would get a little queesy in the evening if I could smell meat cooking. Very mild though. I have my fingers crossed that I have gotten the worst of the morning sickness this time around.
With the few miscarriages I have had I don't recall. I'm guessing it wasn't anything too wild since I can't even remember. It just goes to show that every pregnancy really is different. All mine have been boys so far except this one. I guess it could be but I'm leaning the other way.

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

1st ds- Sick all 9 months. I lost about 30 lbs and only gained 10 back.
2nd ds- I have throwing up for the first 20 weeks and the rest of it I wasn't really able to except Ensure and Instant Breakfast shakes.
3rd ds- Not to bad about a month a ms. But had ptl from 18 weeks until he came at 34 weeks.
This one I have had 2 weeks of really bad m/s but has slowed down a little bit and I'm hoping that it will be over at the end of the 1st tri
