Re: had a scare today...

I'm so sorry you were worried mamma. I KNOW how it feels, I've been there! I had a "nurse" tell me once that "you can't see anything on an u/s until 12 weeks". Obviously she DIDN'T know who she was talking to! I corrected her and told her EXACTLY what you CAN see before then. I'm so glad that you got the reassurance that you needed. The first one after you lose a precious little one is REALLY hard. I think it does get a little better, but you can never go back to that innocence/naivete (sp?) that you once had. I am praying that your pregnancy goes smoothly from here on out and that God will grant you peace that passes all understanding.

Re: had a scare today...

I am so sorry Julie that you had such a scare!! I was almost afraid to open your post. I was so relieved for you that your little one is doing great and growing right along!! How wonderful!! I can tell you that I have been a nervous wreck too with this pregnancy. Having the obs from HELL didn't help!

It is better now that I can actually feel the little guy kicking and moving about. I know that you will feel much better then too. I still have my super worried moments and sometimes I feel like I am neg on the board as I can think of a million reasons why something could be serious! Though I honestly only try to help.

Anyway... I am so glad that the hem's are gone! Maybe it was the lovenox after all doing that? Anyway... CONGRATULATIONS on a healthy live baby!!! He sure is a cutie!!

Thanks everyone!

shannon - you're absolutely right how the innocence is just gone. I feel like I've been cheated out of ever enjoying a pg again - I just want to get to the hold-a-crying-baby part!

Re: had a scare today...

Yeah, when I was pregnant with Caitlyn we recalled how when I was pregnant with Noah I didn't even know what the triple screen tested for! Now I know WAY too much about TOO many birth/pregnancy related maladies. Honestly, even after the 20 week mark (which is when we had Emily), I still worried about other things. Even after she was born for the first few months I worried about SIDS. I am a worrier by nature. I didn't let it take over my life, but in the back of my mind, it was always there. I know you know what I mean. I can say that this pregnancy has been easier to avoid the worrying. It helped to have a little two year old (and six year old) to occupy my thoughts most of the day. When I do start to worry about something or other, I just spend (more) time in prayer and it helps a lot. It does help when you get past the mark where you lost your other precious one.

You WILL get to that holding a crying baby stage!!!!! Just like Kaydee will and Charlotte will and I will too. Our unfortunate circumstances will not be repeated, I just know it. I will be in prayer for you as you face these next few weeks. I know they will be the toughest ones. Just take it one day/minute/second at a time and know if you EVER need anyone to chat with about how you are feeling, we will be here for you.
