Does Baking Soda create bubbles?

Tonight was the first night I tried Baking soda(1/3 cup wash)/vinegar (1/3 cup rinse), in addition to my 1/8 cup of Charlie's liquid soap, in the wash because I have some poop stink issues with my FB's. I must have rinsed 6 times and there is still bubbles! I've kinda given up tonight on the washes. Does the BS cause extra bubbles? I stripped my dipes 2 washes ago and I thought all the bubbles were out. Do you think the bubbles are left over from the previous wash or soap in the machine?

I would guess it's soap in the machine. The only time bubbles occur with BS is when it's reacting with vinegar but you have to mix the two directly and even then it's only fizzles.

I've read that you can clean the machine out with BS by running an empty cycle.

If you added baking soda and vinegar at the same time. that did it. like a kids volcano project. the baking soda goes in the soak and the vinegar goes in the rinse.

Baking soda a alone works great for a baby who is exlusively breast fed. After that washing soda is a better choice. I've read multiple places that it's either/or vinager or baking powder not both! If you already have soft water, baking soda will definately make more bubbles. It is a water softner. I stopped using it when I found that I had too many bubbles. I like baby oxyclean for really dirty stinky pockets... That older babies can make who are on solids.

I did BS in the wash and vinegar in the rinse. My son is both breastfed and supplemented with formula. I've been just tossing it in the wash but I think I might have to invest in a diaper sprayer.

I use baking soda in the soak and Charlie's in the wash. The baking soda has never caused suds for me, but it may have acted as a water softener for you in the wash and helped to release some detergent/dawn buildup in the pockets.

Sorry to say this, but keep rinsing. The suds will eventually go away.
