Drinking from a straw...

Y'know.... I always dread the day they learn, and have no idea what is considered typical, but James learned how to drink from a straw today (8mos) bittersweet and just HAD to share!!! Now I KNOW we won't ever need bottles

James drinks breastmilk, and all juices that aren't super acidic so no pinapple or tomato. He loves the V8 Splashes as well as the sun rype version in blueberry a little Milk and eats EVERYTHING although I mush stuff with a fork, he loves mashed potatoes and gravy, and yogurt LOVES LOVES LOVES yogurt, applesauce of course ..... He's not fond of eggs tho

The only things he really hasn't tried is anything too acidic.... like tomato sauce.

WTG James! I definitely think it's a milestone!

He sounds so much like Julia. She just accomplished this a week or so ago. I don't think *my* James could drink from a straw until well over a year though. It seems very early to me. Yay for superbabies!

way to go! my dd just learned that too...I was letting her play with my straw in my glass at a restraunt and noticed she was actually drinking from it (thank goodness it was just water!)

and I do think 8 months is early for a straw
