Re: Minishower vs peri bottle

With DS I loved mine.. with DD I never used it. However it does work great for holding water to wet wipes for diaper changes

ETA: I tore pretty significantly with DS (and UP, not down ), but with DD I didnt tear at all. And I did not have an episiotomy with either.

LOL! It is bottle with a squeeze spout with several holes. You use to to rinse down there when you are sore from pushing your little one out. You are bloody like during a period but super sore and rinsing down there with a peri bottle is nice since you can't shower everytime you go to the bathroom. And you don't really want to rub to hard with TP. For those of use with stitches it keeps it clean so we can heal.

Re: Minishower vs peri bottle

I like the peri bottle for warm and I also will add some TTO for a really good clean feel. I was prone yeast just after DS was born and that seemed to keep it at bay.

Did you guys use frozen pads or cool witch hazel pads or anything???? I really preferred the cool. I mean, a hot bath felt nice but after going potty cool was definitely better!! LOL

No way, I never did frozen at all! Now that everyone is saying it's wonderful, I'd like to try next time, but it sounds so scary! I must be seriously hot blooded. Hehehe.

Yes I used witch hazel and that was nice. But I loved my warm peribottle, not HOT just WARM. There is a difference.

Re: Minishower vs peri bottle

I used warm water in the peri and put TTO in it too. It helped alot but I also would use a Tucks pad right afterward to help with the swelling and soreness. I got SO swollen during my last pregnancy that I was REALLY swollen afterwards. IT took a few weeks to finally get things to go back down to normal and even now (10 weeks later) I'm still slightly swollen.

Ouch. The thought of the cold, rushing water pounding my too-numerous-to-count-stitches just made me cringe. Peri bottle, with softly spraying warm water please!!!
