Stabbing pains in cervix

What the heck!? For the last week, I've been getting occasional sharp stabbing pains in my cervix. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal? If it's not then we have a big problem because my little guy somehow managed to smuggle a knife in there or something.

Thats the babe either punching or kicking you in the cervix from the inside! Nice isn't it? I woul like to tell you it gets better, but it won't hehe....only if babe stops hitting there!

I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow. It's strange because I never had it with ODS. I'd feel him punching me but it always felt like a bump, never like he was stabbing me.

I've been getting this too and I had planned to ask my doctor about it tomorrow at my appt. It hurts really bad sometimes and will stop me from doing whatever I'm doing....definately catches my attention! I also noticed though that she's very low....I can feel her moving down in my pubic area and that hurts, too, LOL.

oh I so remember that!!!
My mw said it's bc the baby is running outta room and pushing on the cervix maybe with a hand. I swear sometimes I thought there was a hand punching my cervix! lol

ariana found my cervix at about 18 weeks. at first it was an odd sensation, kinda like a little flick. then it became more annoying, a quick sharp pinch. now, (at 32wks) it's a full out stop me in my tracks and make me gasp stab! all it is is her beating on my cervix. her favorite pass time! dr said it's fine as long and i'm not contracting at the same time.

Oooohh. I remember that. The first time it happened to me, I was about 26 weeks and walking though Lowes. I almost fell down! They get worse, but they are normal. Sorry momma.

Yeah totally normal momma!! Zach will sometimes kick or punch me and it hurts so bad I actually yell and everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. Its mainly cause it catches you off guard but man does it hurt!! I say its the baby trying to find his way out "of the tunnel" (as ds#3 says) he's really just moving around and hits my cervix. Its crazy!
