What do you do for lunch?

I am in sore need of easy lunch ideas. I don't know why it is so hard for me, but it is, lol!! SO what do you usually do for lunch?

Re: What do you do for lunch?

For you or for your kids? If for your kids how old are they? Some things I do:

Soup
Pasta (especially elbow noodles or rotini)
Grilled cheese sandwiches
Cereal Bars
Leftovers!
For oldest dd pb&j sandwiches
Potato salad
Baked beans
Well, any kind of beans really
Tuna salad
Chicken salad
Chef salad
Cheese sticks
Fruit cut up individually or make a fruit salad
For children with good chewing I do carrot sticks and dips (hummas, ranch, pb)
Spaghetti
Crackers
Bagels w/cream cheese

All kinds of stuff. I hope that helps.

Re: What do you do for lunch?

*mini pizzas are a big hit with my kids. i get whole wheat english muffins, then use a little spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with cheese and whatever for toppings (olives, mushrooms, pineapple, pepperoni, broccoli, spinach, whatever you think would be good) and bake til a little toasty. they love it.

*pb&j is asked for the most, my daughter always wants it, lol.
*ravioli, they love ravioli with a little bit of spaghetti sauce (i buy the bags of ravioli at costo, like ten bucks a bag i think)
* quesadilla, just take a tortilla slice some cheese, add mushrooms and tomatoes or salsa if you like, then warm on a pan (preferably iron) til the cheese melts. if you want to use sour cream or salsa for them to dip it in, it makes it more fun to eat
* i like sandwhiches but sometimes i get tired of them, so instead of regular wheat bread i'll use sourdough or bagels or croissaint to give it more flare
* hard boiled eggs. for my daughter i'll boil the eggs in the morning or the night before, and let her draw on the eggs with a pen or marker, then she breaks it and eats it afterwards, she really likes that. (i don't normally give hard boiled eggs to my littler one, who's a year and a half, because it gives her a tummy ache)

Re: What do you do for lunch?

Along with the other posts- I also have a sandwich press. So meat and cheese sandwiches, tuna melts, grilled cheese, pizza pockets, etc. My DS loves them. And I only paid like $14 at walmart for the press.
