Yes, DO dilute it ALOT! I can and did burn my throat and it tastes horrible! Maybe mix the dilution with sugar? Something to sweeten the taste of it AFTER dilution? Like, dip the swab into the diluted solution and then dip it into sugar and see how that goes.

Yikes, good luck but it works! I used it all last week for my thrush and the thrush on my oldest DD. I swear by it!

GSE is by far the most bitter thing I've ever tasted but it does work wonders! I suggest covering the bitterness with some unsweetened yogurt, since it's got the beneficial acidofilus and sugar definately feeds yeast.

I have already smacked myself upside the head for that dumb idea! Of course she can't have sugar! Duh!

Yes, the stuff is horribly bitter I think the idea of yogurt might help though gosh, good luck and give her tons of lovin's after you administer it

Plain yogurt, I believe. When I make yogurt I have to add sugar and we add vanilla to ours but plain is free of both (I think) just check the label

Re: Treatment of thrush with GSE

I used it at the 15-20 drop dilution only for a day or so, then much more diluted, probably 5-10 drops in an oz, after the thrush showed signs of clearing (it does so quickly!); it does taste icky but the payoff is a thrush-free mouth in a couple days or so -- worth it IMO! You only need a little bit of the diluted GSE on a Q-tip, then just a swabbing of the checks. I avoided putting it directly on the tongue because of the taste, I think it spreads itself around the mouth just fine if you get it on the cheeks.

Hope it clears up quick for you! If you're b/f, try taking it internally yourself, it really helps.

ETA: if you're taking the liquid drops by mouth, try disguising them in a bit of orange juice. Not a whole glass, though...like a 1/4 cup or so, and chug it, then drink or eat something else to get rid of the aftertaste.
