and I won't be joining him

Well, he works for the gov't so I can join him but with the baby arriving I don't feel right leaving her with family for a week already. If it were just Alex and Madi I'd be on that plane ready to get the heck out of MI for a week!! Anyway, he gets to go to San Francisco for 6 days in October (mind you he is taking all of September off for the baby). The hotel is so nice and like $250 a night, we could never afford a nice hotel like that but hey, the gov't is paying. He gets a driver and everything so he doesn't have to deal with rental cars either. How wonderful would that be? I can just imagine it................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ..Okay, reality check ~ me alone with 3 kids for a week ~ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Actually never thoguht of that. I'm not sure how a 6 week old would do though ~ anyone travel with one this little? I could always keep Alex and Madi with my mom since she is only 1/2 mile away and take Lilly. Hmmm.....

CD - hmm, might want to call the hotel? See if there is a laundromat nearby - you don't really have to rinse nb bm poo, kwim? OR you can sposie it....

Newborns are portable! We took a 17 hour car trip (broken into 2 days, stopped at a hotel 1/2 way) last summer when Nathan was about 10/11 weeks old and it went well enough we did it again this year!

Just remember to nurse while you are taking off/landing to ease her ears, and the flight should be fine - @ 6 weeks, they still sleep most of the day.

oh yeah take Lilly with you.

I think that she would do very well!

Morgan and I went to Arizona to visit my sister when she was 5 months old. It wasn't all that hard. We had lots of fun!
