how do you store homemade bread

I would love to make enough bread for the whole week, but after the first day my homemade bread is usually pretty hard and no one wants to eat it then. Any suggestions?

I store ours in a freezer ziploc bag. I make 2 loaves at a time. One I put in the freezer the other on the counter.

Freezer, counter with plastic wrap or clean dishtowel over it.

We have a tupperware bread box - it keeps things fresh for quite awhile!

Pampered Chef Tupperware* bread "box" (plastic) (I have an extra that I'll sell! PM me if you'd like. <g>) or fridge.

* Don't know why I thought mine were PC! Oh well.

Re: how do you store homemade bread

I use "bread bags". They're in the same place as the sandwich baggies. It's basically just a really large sandwhich bag. Then I just twist the end and use clothespin to hold it. Our bread stays fresh for about 4 days this way. IMO, the breadmaker you have seems to make a difference on how long the bread stays fresh. With my first breadmaker, the bread would stay soft for 2 days tops, and I didn't do anything different (at least not that i know of!)
