Do you still do a cold rinse if...
So we've been doing really well at catching poos lately (ECing), so generally we have loads of dipes that only have pee on them (maybe a couple with a little poo). Can I just do a hot wash/cold rinse with these instead of doing coldwash/cold rinse, and then the hot wash/cold rinse???
Is the cold wash for poo only, so that it doesn't stain? I don't want to be wasting time/water if there's only like one or two dipes with poo on them in the wash! What happens later when she gets solids? Could I pull this off with only BF poo, but not BF+solids poo?

I'd probably still do it, unless you're washing every day. Pee sitting in dipes needs to be rinsed really well

If there's been no poo, I don't rinse-- but I was daily.

I'd still do it. I wouldn't do a full wash/rinse cycle, just the rinse.

Re: Do you still do a cold rinse if...
i didn't always do it, and i didn't notice any problems. try it and see what happens. the worst thing is you have to wash again, right? worth a shot.

Re: Do you still do a cold rinse if...
I didn't do it today, but I just washed yesterday, so they hadn't been sitting there very long. I usually go every 2.5-3 days and always do a cold pre-rinse cycle.

Re: Do you still do a cold rinse if...
I would, but only because I'm pretty anal about getting them clean.
I don't think it's necessary, really. Not if your dipes don't have poo all over them. |

Re: Do you still do a cold rinse if...
I would, even pee can stain over time. You don't want to set it in by washing on hot. Try using a lower water level for your first rinse and see if that works for you.
