Storing dipes/covers with FOE?

I know that the elastic can wear out in regular dipes, but what about with FOE? For example, if I wanted to keep my BSWW for the next kid would the FOE wear better than internal elastic?

I'm sure line drying helps the wear/storing process as opposed to the wear and tear the dryer puts on them.
